Dancing with the laws of destiny

How can I change my fate?

Your inner state is your fate. Uplift your state.

Vernon Howard – The Power of Esoterics.

Is everything in your life pre-programmed?

If there is a pre-programmed factor, let’s call that fate.

Let’s call the factor that you can influence Destiny.

Then my question is, “What can I do do make my future somewhat better?”

This conversation is to explore the possibility that you might be able to affect your future favourably with what you do today.

My intention is to have you look at the story you tell yourself and others. Then to notice what that empowers you to do and how it limits you.

Are you running the same patterns over and over? How do you get conscious of them, and then what needs to happen to break out to freedom?

Begin to pay attention to how you describe yourself. Does that support you? How might you describe yourself more usefully?

How can you create a vision for yourself that informs what actions you can take today?

What actions can reinforce you and what depletes you?

What do you think fuels your destiny?

How can you get abundance to work for you?

How can your language support you better?

“Fortune happens

Fate demands

Destiny urges

Will decides”

Mary K.Greer

You could just read this thinking and nod your head in agreement, or shake it. I doubt that will have much effect.

You could do the work as it is offered. Please.

To begin, find your Journal and write your story.

Take as much time as you enjoy it.

The only other piece at this point is to pay attention to how you introduce yourself to someone new. Record your default introduction speech and add it to your story. In the next chapter, I’ll get you to explore what you’ve written.

Chapter 2

Provisional Hypothesis for Law of Destiny 1

Your story you tell about yourself is true, and will bind you.

My thinking behind this is that your story has become so unconscious that you usually trot it out automatically.

The energy you create will the story holds you in place and informs your beliefs and action you take.

For example, if you tell the story that “my problem has always been…” then I expect it still is.

Now go back and read the story you told about yourself.

Better still, have a friend read it.

Look for patterns and rhythm. What shows up?

What dogma do you see?

Dogma will manifest as rigid beliefs. There is only one map here, one rule, one way of doing things.

E Prime is language with the “isness” taken out of it and replaced by possibility.

Dogma – “I’ll always struggle with my weight”

Catma [ E prime] -”Until now, I have felt consistently overweight. It seems there are ways that work for others that might work for me.”

What future do you predict for someone who tells this sort of story about themselves?

Next task.

Write a new story. It’s your story. You are hereby given permission to improve it.

Pay attention to what begins to shift.

Now write out the words you use to describe who you are when you introduce yourself. Subject it to the same analysis and write an improved version.

Chapter 3 – The Fuel of Destiny

Control of one’s destiny is an oxymoron

But a man or woman of power can influence it

Learn to dance with it

Lead it across the dancefloor of time

Alberto Villoldo

Provisional hypothesis of Law 2.

“The fuel of Destiny is forgiveness and gratitude”

Forgiveness allows you to let go of the past and make way for your destiny. It’s the energetic equivalent of clutter clearing.

Gratitude for what you have gets you conscious of the present.

Next work – list 50 things for which you are grateful.

You might find that the list gets more value when you get towards the end. That’s when the truth of what you’re really grateful for usually appears.

Now turn this into a regular habit.

What might happen then is that you more often express your gratitude to the people in your life who deeply matter to you.

Story analysis. When you look again at your old story, you might not be able to deconstruct it and drain the power from it.

You might find the work of Byron Katie useful. She has a few questions which could be help you to notice what you’ve been doing until now.

Next work – write a new description of who you are becoming. Use the language of myth rather than everyday words. Go wild – I won’t tell anyone you don’t want to hear it.

Chapter 4-  Vision  and Abundance

Your new story, although it might not yet be true, it can become so.

According to a number of schools of thought and learning, there are a number of ways you can bring the vision you have contained in your story to life now.

First possibility.

Read your new story again.

Imagine you are stood in the manifestation of the story – it’s happened.

Make a rich map of how things are.

What are you seeing?- in detail.

3D in focus, bright, colour.

What are you hearing? music? inner voice?

What can you smell and taste?

What activities are you doing?

What feelings and emotions are being created by what’s going on?

Come out of your reverie.

List the activities you noticed you are doing in your new story.

Capture the feelings. Which is the most important to you?

Now, which of these [future] activities can you be doing today – that will create that important feeling?

That can help you set the direction you’re going in to making your new story come to life beginning now.

Study for this possibility – begin to collect all meaningful coincidences that seem to be connecting you to your new story.

Workout – building your Abundance muscles.

Your gratitude fuels your destiny and the abundance you’re creating.

My current belief is that the more you find something to be grateful for, the more of that something manifests.

Put it to the test.

Make another list of 50 things you are grateful for today.

Put it away for a week or so. Then look at it again.

Notice that what you were grateful for has appeared more often with more intensity since you wrote the list.

If you found that works, what could you do to create more abundance do you think?

Possibility 2 from Anne Jirsch in Cosmic Energy.

Select a wonderful box that you could use to keep some important things in. The sorts of things that have special importance to you – pictures of a loved one, a momento of a special trip or holiday or any special gift.

Create a ceremony that will empower the box with sacred and magical properties. Only you need be involved with the ceremony.

write down a wish for some specific abundance you would like. In the wish, define what is “enough” of the something.

Put the wish into the box and place it somewhere secret.

Every now and then, put your attention on the box. Imagine the box is working its sacred magic.

Notice what happens.
